Thank you for subscribing to Grahachara ("we," "us," or "our"). We want you to be fully satisfied with our digital astrology services. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds related to our subscription plans and digital services.
1 Nature of Our Services
Grahachara is a digital subscription service that provides Vedic astrology features including:
- AI-powered birth chart (Kendaraya) analysis
- Porondam (compatibility) matching reports
- Comprehensive life reports (Sampurna Varthava)
- Weekly horoscope forecasts (Sathiye Lagna Palapala)
- Real-time Rahu Kalaya alerts and planetary transit notifications
- AI Astrologer chat consultations
As a digital service, no physical goods are shipped or delivered. All content and features are delivered electronically through the Grahachara mobile application.
2 Subscription Billing
2.1 Payment Processing
All subscription payments are processed securely through:
- Google Play Store (Android users)
- PayHere Payment Gateway (direct web payments for Sri Lankan users)
2.2 Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You will be charged at the then-current subscription rate upon renewal.
2.3 Pricing
- Sri Lanka: LKR 240/month or LKR 1,990/year
- Global: $4/month or approximately $40/year
3 Refund Eligibility
3.1 Subscription Refunds
We offer refunds under the following circumstances:
- Within 48 hours of first purchase: If you are a new subscriber and are not satisfied with the service, you may request a full refund within 48 hours of your initial subscription purchase.
- Technical issues: If you experience persistent technical issues that prevent you from accessing paid features, and our support team is unable to resolve them within 7 business days.
- Duplicate charges: If you are charged more than once for the same billing period due to a processing error.
- Unauthorized charges: If a charge was made without your authorization.
3.2 Non-Refundable Items
The following are not eligible for refunds:
- Subscriptions that have been active for more than 48 hours (beyond the initial refund window).
- Partial billing periods โ we do not issue prorated refunds for unused days within a billing cycle.
- One-time report purchases (Life Reports, Compatibility Reports) that have already been generated and delivered to your account.
- Services used or consumed before the refund request.
- Dissatisfaction with astrological readings or predictions (as stated in our Terms of Service, readings are for informational and cultural purposes).
4 How to Request a Refund
4.1 For Google Play Store Purchases
If your subscription was purchased through the Google Play Store:
- Visit the Google Play Subscriptions page.
- Follow Google's refund process for in-app purchases.
- Google handles refund processing per their refund policy.
4.2 For PayHere / Direct Payments
If your subscription was purchased through PayHere or direct payment on our website:
- Email us at support@grahachara.com with the subject line "Refund Request".
- Include your registered email address, payment receipt or transaction ID, and the reason for your refund request.
- Our team will review your request and respond within 3 business days.
Tip: To speed up your refund request, please include your transaction ID or payment confirmation email. You can find this in your PayHere payment confirmation or bank statement.
5 Refund Processing
- Approved refunds will be credited back to your original payment method.
- Refunds are processed within 5โ10 business days after approval.
- The exact time for the refund to appear in your account depends on your bank or payment provider.
- Refund amounts will be in the original currency of purchase.
6 Subscription Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation:
- You will retain access to premium features until the end of your current billing period.
- No further charges will be made after the current period expires.
- Your account will revert to the free plan with limited features.
- Your data (birth charts, reports) will remain stored in your account for 12 months.
6.1 How to Cancel
- Google Play: Go to Google Play Store โ Subscriptions โ Grahachara โ Cancel.
- In-App: Go to Settings โ Subscription โ Cancel Subscription.
- Email: Send a cancellation request to support@grahachara.com.
Important: Simply deleting the app does not cancel your subscription. You must cancel through Google Play, the app settings, or by contacting our support team to stop future charges.
7 Free Trial
If we offer a free trial period:
- You will not be charged during the trial period.
- Your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan at the end of the trial unless cancelled beforehand.
- Only one free trial is available per user/device.
8 Chargebacks & Disputes
We encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback or dispute with your bank or payment provider. We are committed to resolving issues promptly and fairly. Unauthorized chargebacks may result in suspension of your account pending resolution.
9 Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to update this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
